The Fairmont Mercantile, located in the historic Jacobs-Hutchinson building in downtown Fairmont, has been a commercial anchor since 1902. It boasts five floors and nearly 40,000 square feet of retail and event space.

Today, it is home to many retail brands, including The Arts & Antiques Marketplace, Unique Consignment, Embellishments Boutique, Cool Ridge, the Christmas Shoppe, and many more. It also houses attractions including the Coal Mining Heritage Museum.
